Today I’m going to show you how to make these adorable Valentine’s Day Treat Bags!
* 6″x 16″ piece of fabric for each wrapper
* HeatnBond Lite (One package of 17″x 1.25 yards will do 15)
* 1/4″ or less ribbon in coordinating colors
* snack size plastic bags
*18mm rotary cutter or small scissors
* E-beth Design’s pattern Candy Wrapper Treat Bag
First, take your fabric and heat n bond. Cut your fabric about 6″x16″ and heat n bond 6″x8″. Both pieces can be bigger but not needed. Iron one side of the heat n bond to the wrong side of the fabric.
Then, fold over the rest of the fabric and sandwich them together. Wrong sides touching with heat n bond in the middle.
Print pattern out and lay it on the fabric and cut with rotary cutter or mark with disappearing ink pen and cut with scissors.
This step is optional. If you want to embroidery on these, mark in the center and make the embroidery no bigger than 2.5″ <-> and 1.1″ up and down.
Now, iron creases on each fold line.
Now we are ready to stuff them! Get your bag and put about this much candy in it.
Then roll it up.
Lay the candy in the middle on the wrong side of the fabric and pull the edges on top with them overlapping. Cut 2 15″ strips of ribbon. Lay them underneath the bag like so and tie your knots.
